Wintergreen Adaptive Sports PT and SKI Program

Wintergreen, VA Adaptive Sports PT and Ski Program

Individuals with spinal cord injuries, amputation, degenerative diseases of the nervous system, MS, muscular dystrophy, CP. spina bifida or other ambulation challenges, are invited to participate in a program at Wintergreen Resort in Virginia that combines Physical Therapy and Adaptive Skiing. Almost anyone who walks with canes, crutches or walkers or uses a wheelchair for mobility can participate in this program.

There is no fee for the equipment, the on-snow lesson or the PT evaluation or rehabilitation sessions. Session 1 is Jan, 12, 19, 26 and Feb. 2. Session 2 is Feb. 9, 16, 23 and March 2. Participants can sign up for a morning or afternoon session.

WAS provide all adaptive ski or ride equipment and a helmet (required for sit-down ski equipment.)
