PLEASE NOTE:  The first few minutes of the meeting will be a brief description of the meeting protocol--please do be on time so that you're aware of how the meeting will be conducted.

 Basic Guidelines for Board Meeting

This meeting will be recorded, so please be respectful and watch what you say.

Top of your screen--says “Show everyone," or if you prefer, click on it and mark next to “Show who’s talking”

Mute your microphone.  This is important as the mics are overly sensitive and if there is any noise or movement when the mic is on, your picture will go up on the screen.  Example:  if your mic is on and you get up and start moving or opening drawers or talk, your picture will pop up on the screen since we have it marked that we will only show the picture of the person who is talking.

When you are recognized to speak either by the Presenter or the “Chat” monitor (Cheryl Mann), you may turn on your mic to talk.  Your picture will be on everyone’s screen except your own.

The “Chat” monitor will explain how to be recognized to speak and how to vote when we have motions.  Only "no" votes and abstentions will be noted reported via chat, and you will be asked if you wish your vote to be recognized in the meeting minutes.

ATTENDANCE

Each council may have two representatives in attendance, one voting delegate and one alternate delegate.

ANNUAL REPORTS AND FINANCIALS

Annual reports, minutes from the 2020 meeting, and financials have been uploaded to the Federation web site--please read and print them prior to the meeting, as officers and committee chairs will refer to those reports during the meeting.  They can be found here:   https://skifederation.org/members/resource-center/annual-meeting-documents/2021-annual-meeting-documents/

They can also be accessed via the menus, Members Only, Resource Center, Annual Meeting Documents, 2021 Annual Meeting Documents.

Whichever route you use, you will need to sign in to view the documents as they are not accessible to the public.  So if any president or delegate doesn't have a user id, they will need to register first, before they can access the documents.

PROXIES

If your council is unable to attend the meeting, you may assign a proxy for your vote by sending an e-mail to Sheri Parshall, NSCF Secretary, identifying the person who will represent you via proxy.

ELECTIONS

This is an election year!  Bios of all candidates are available on the Federation web site.

This will be our second virtual meeting as a group, and with your help, it should go fairly seamlessly.  Thanks to all of you for your support of our organization--can't wait to see you all on Saturday!
