Council Presidents, we have a unique opportunity to participate in a snow sports safety awareness survey. There is a very tight window to get this to our club members. The deadline for completing it is next Wednesday, Nov. 23. The framers of the survey asked the National Ski Council Federation to help them collect data from as many snow sports participants as possible and our board agreed to do so. Some of you were at the NSCF annual meeting where I gave a brief introductory slide presentation on it. Some of you also may have received an introduction to the survey from Marty Grabijas who is working with Fort Lewis College Associate Professor Tom Miaskiewiz. It is in our interest help them collect data on skier behavior that will benefit our sport in the future. Please distribute it to your clubs, board members and any other audiences you have and encourage them to participate. The info from the framers and the survey link follows:

As part of a two-course sequence at Fort Lewis College, a study is being conducted to study the behavior at and opinions of ski areas, perceptions of on-slope safety, and the development of messaging so that everyone “Slides With Respect".
