It is with a heavy heart that we let those of you who have not heard that Sandy Morris passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2024. Many of you may have known her as Sandy Ellison, the name she went by prior to marrying her soulmate Mike Morris.

 

Sandy was instrumental in the Texas Ski Council's decision to return to NSCF after a few years' absence. She served as the NSCF delegate for the Texas Ski Council and was an active contributor. She also served as President of Texas Ski Council as well as in numerous other capacities and played an important role in the founding of the Texas Ski Council Youth Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes health and fitness among youth of all socio-economic levels through active outdoor recreation by financially assisting active participation in family oriented snow sports trips. Sandy will be missed by her family and friends. She was very special to so many of us.
