(Mailing list information, including how to remove yourself, is located at the end of this message.) __ Hi Michelle,
A really poor time for me for phone calls and posting. I've been out of town for the last recent weeks on ski trips to Switzerland and to Montana, My wife has been on chemo during this time, and my grand niece (my deceased brother's granddaughter) just died of cancer.
I intended to cancel the ski trips, but my wife assured me that she would be fine while I was gone as she has tremendous support from friends, so I reluctantly followed through. Incidentally, I used the Members Only section of the benefits page to reserve rental skis in Switzerland for a 30% discount, as did three other members of the party. Cost for six days was $157.41, very reasonable.
My grand niece was a 28 year old young lady who enjoyed rock climbing and hiking. She was a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston and was a successful engineer. She was a pleasant, nice, attractive. red-headed sprite of a girl, full of life. She had undergone a double mastectomy three years ago and was cancer free until this past Labor Day weekend, when the cancer was found to have returned to her liver and bones. Many interventions were tried, but no improvement was found and she was released from the hospital to go home to Hospice care last week. She survived just one day. So we will be busy for the next several days, travelling to Massachusetts for the ceremonies.
I expect April will be a bit more relaxing and I should be more active.
Walt
