To celebrate Snowmass’ 50th anniversary, Aspen is offering $6.50 lift tickets on Friday, December 15th. The tickets are only good for Snowmass Mountain, not Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, or Buttermilk Mountains. On opening day in 1967, lift tickets were only $6.50, which prompted them to offer this incredible deal.

The 2017/2018 ski season marks the 50th Anniversary of Snowmass Ski Area. Make this winter your time to reunite with the friends, family and fall lines you’ve enjoyed in Snowmass over the years.

Join us for Anniversary Weekend, December 15-17, and then celebrate all season long with anniversary-related festivities on the mountain and around Snowmass Village.

Anniversary Weekend Events:
Friday, December 15, 2017 marks Snowmass Ski Area’s 50th anniversary. To celebrate the day, take advantage of $6.50 single-day lift tickets, the price that was charged on opening day in 1967. Tickets are valid only on December 15th and only on Snowmass. The ticket will be available for purchase after September 15th. A retro party will cap off the day at Elk Camp, followed by fireworks over Fanny Hill.

Saturday, December 16, marks the return of the memorable Banana Days, but with a modern twist. The day will also feature a 50th Anniversary Golden Gala, and a premier of the 50th Anniversary film, Snowmass: 50 Years of Mountain Spirit.

Sunday, December 17, brings the past and present together with a modern remake of the Historic Cabin Jump and Rail Jam, with a picnic at the Spider Sabich Picnic and Race Area.

*$19.67 and $50.00 dining specials at participating bars and restaurants

*Gold signs marking the original 1967 trails on the mountain

*Official 50th anniversary merchandise available at retailers around Snowmass Village
