AJ Hurt, age 15, the daughter of Steve and Dana Hurt, is from Carnelian Bay, California, and attends North Tahoe High School. She isa member of the Squaw Valley Ski Team and enjoys playing soccer in the off season. Her goal is to attend college at Dartmouth.
In 2015 she was ranked 5th in slalom, 2nd in GS and 5th in SG in her age group. She had 6 podiums and 8 top 10 finishes. She received a $1,000 scholarship from the Frank App Memorial Scholarship by Sierra League and Council for the 2015-16 season.
Some highlights of her 2015-16 season include being named to the Hannenkahm Juniors Team and racing the fabled speed course in Kitzbuhel, Austria. She also was selected for the 7 Nations Cup, which was hosted this year in Courcheval, France, where she was on the podium with a 2nd place finish in GS. She finished 2nd in Slalom at the U16 Nationals and has qualified for the U19 National Training Group for the 2016-17 season.
