We’re two short weeks away from FREESKIER’s Annual Ski Test, this year being staged in beautiful Snowmass, Colorado from March 5 through March 9. The Ski Test is the most anticipated event of each and every winter. We’ll be gathering in Snowmass with dozens of incredibly talented ski testers, a horde of the best ski manufacturers in the biz and hundreds of pairs of next year’s skis. We’ll test each pair ferociously to determine the absolute crème de la crème that will be included in our 2019 Buyer’s Guide. (Click here to subscribe to our next batch of magazines.) Not only is it the best week of the year, but it’s the most comprehensive ski test in the industry, period.
And to further red-line anticipations levels, the mountains of Aspen Snowmass have received four feet of new snow in the past week, while Snowmass alone has surpassed 22 inches in 48 hours heading into last weekend. To make things even better, OpenSnow is forecasting up to 33 inches of new snow through Friday, February 23. The conditions for the Ski Test are going to be downright magical.
We don’t want to do this Ski Test on our own, either. To be sure you don’t miss a beat during the Ski Test, be sure to tune in via Freeskier.com and the social channels listed, below, every day. You’ll enjoy sneak peeks of next year’s top products; photo galleries; more detailed information about how we test skis; videos; magazine subscription specials and more.
Until we kick off things on March 5, here’s a smattering of content from ski tests of yesteryear, as well as recent images from Aspen, to get you hyped for the madness yet to come.
