- Description: Piccadilly is going to Japan! Yes it’s true, we will be going to Japan for a wonderful trip to experience the culture, food, people, and skiing/boarding in the area that hosted the 1998 Winter Olympics. The trip dates are March 8 -19, 2017, and the trip includes the following for a cost of $3,240 : • All air transportation on JAL from O’Hare • All ground transportation via bus and bullet train • 3 nights in Kyoto – Japans cultural center and former capital – at the 4* Kyoto Okura Hotel with a breakfast buffet daily • ½ day Kyoto city tour (includes temple admission fees) • 5 nights in Hakuba Valley at the 4* Mominoki Hotel with a hot and cold breakfast buffet daily and 4-course dinners for 4 nights (within a 7 minute free shuttle to the Happo One and Hakuba 47 ski areas, and 20 minutes to 9 other ski areas) • 2 nights in Tokyo at the 4* Shinagawa Prince Hotel with a breakfast buffet daily • Local English speaking guides with us at all times • All room include two twin beds In addition to the opportunity to experience Japanese cultural history at the many temples in Kyoto, and the modern day Japan in Tokyo – there are many day trips available from Hakuba for the non-skier or for skiers who wish to take a day off. These include the Matsumoto Castle, the Nagano Temple, the Olympic Village from the 1998 Nagano Games, a visit to a Saki Brewery, and the famous Snow Monkeys!
